Animal User Clearance: Veterinarian Supervised Instruction

The following steps must be successfully completed for each person before they will be authorized to work with animals in an instructional setting at 麻豆官网首页入口. Direct veterinary supervision is required at all times. Trainees will not be authorized to participate in any aspect of anesthesia, monitoring, euthanasia, etc. Any access to an LAS facility will require an LAS escort.

Step 1

Must be completed by Principal Investigator, Business Manager or Lab Manager for each person exposed to your animals at 麻豆官网首页入口.

Submit an Animal User Access Request to:

  • request addition of new personnel to the IACUC animal care and use database (REQUIRED)
  • authorize and request personnel access to the animal facility (optional).

The Principal Investigator will be notified when a request is submitted.

Step 2

Must be completed by all trainees.

Complete the online Occupational Health Risk Assessment. This tool determines if personnel must be evaluated by employee health.

Step 3

Must be completed by all trainees.

Complete the following online Animal User Training Modules:

Once the prior steps are completed and clearance is granted by Occupational Health/ Employee Health, LAS veterinary or training personnel may contact you to schedule a practical training session.
