Civic Engagement
The Civic Engagement Office provides opportunities for students to become involved in community service learning experiences through direct service and engagement.
Participation in civic engagement opportunities allows students to analyze complicated social issues, apply what they have learned in their areas of academic study, develop effective communication skills, and gain personal experiences through service in a multitude of areas. Through opportunities for community service at a distance and in-person students, can become involved in voter registration drives and other events that promote civic engagement.

Mission
The Area of Civic Engagement at 麻豆官网首页入口 aims to provide students with civic educational programming and service opportunities that respond to local, regional and national societal issues and concerns. Voter Registration
The Secretary of State encourages every Georgia citizen, especially eligible students, to register to vote. Voting is an important part of your civic duty to elect leaders that represent Georgians on the local, state, and federal levels.
Students, who are residents of Georgia and meet the voter registration requirements, are encouraged to visit the following link to register to vote. IMPACT
IMPACT at 麻豆官网首页入口 is a service-based student organization housed under the 麻豆官网首页入口 Student Life and Engagement Department, specifically fostered through the area of Civic Engagement. It is an umbrella organization that promotes student participation and involvement in community service projects on the 麻豆官网首页入口 University campus and within the Central Savannah River Area (CSRA) community. IMPACT strives to unite students, faculty, staff, and the surrounding community by cultivating meaningful service projects that promotes responsible citizenship through involvement. Programs fostered through IMPACT serve as a catalyst for personal development beyond the classroom for its members.
