Yes, every semester you want to use your VA Educational Benefits you must certify your classes through our office.

A COE is a Certificate of Eligibility, and it is typically sent to you from the VA after you have applied for benefits (though them) and been approved. A COE states what you are eligible for and for how long.

If you are having trouble reaching your counselor, our office can contact your counselor on your behalf.

We recommend contacting your VR&E counselor. Your counselor will need to submit an updated PO/Authorization to us that lists the required items. Once we receive the PO/Authorization, we will notify you and the bookstore that you are able to purchase the additional items.

Yes, we have a Military Resource Center (MRC) located down the hall from our office in Washington Hall. The space can be used as a quiet place to study, utilize a computer, eat lunch, host meetings, or see what is new with MVS.

We (MVS office) will need a copy of your acceptance letter into the HPSP program. Once you send us that letter, we will be able to process your account. Should we have any questions, we will contact you. Please note, not all HPSP programs cover all tuition and fee costs. We will email you if you do have a remaining balance, but please check your Pounce account often to see if you have a remaining balance.

No, students in the Medical and Dental college should submit a request for certification and their Certificate of Eligibility each semester they intend to utilize their benefits.

Students who wish to utilize Tuition Assistance (TA) must contact their chain of command to retrieve a voucher. Once you have the voucher, you will need to submit a Certification Request Form (the steps are outlined below) and upload the voucher. If you have any questions, please email fortgordon@augusta.edu.
