- Summerville Campus: Grover C. Maxwell Performing Arts Theatre
5:00 pm-7:00 pm
(*Check-in early at 3:00 pm at Maxwell Theatre)
*Shuttles will pick up Housing students and bring them to Summerville.
* Commuter students may park on-campus with an AU Parking Pass.
Freshman Convocation is the bookend to Senior Graduation. It is the ceremony that welcomes YOU, the Class of 2029, to the 麻豆官网首页入口 Family.
At this event, you will receive your official Class Pin, T-shirt, and take your Class Photo with your new classmates. After the ceremony & class picture, you are invited to have Dinner & meet your future professors and campus professionals while exploring the many academic and social opportunities at AU.
At the conclusion of Convocation activities, feel free to have dessert with the President and First Lady on the Maxwell Theatre porch (portico).

p.m.Check-In (EARLY)
Housing and Commuter Students: Check in at the Maxwell Theatre. Pick-up swag and enjoy games and musical entertainment.
*Shuttles will pick up Housing students and bring them to Summerville Campus.
*Commuter students can park on campus with an AU Parking Pass

p.m.Convocation Ceremony
The event begins in the Maxwell Theatre by the ringing of the Arsenal Bell-something you won鈥檛 experience again until Graduation!
Our AU President, Provost, and SGA President will welcome you to the AU Family.
You will receive your Class Pin (to be worn at Graduation) given by College Deans. You will also sing the Alma Mater for the first time!

Take a Class Photo in the JSAC Field, before heading to dinner, and meeting your new professors and campus professionals!

p.m.College Meet & Greet/Dinner
Pick-up your meal in the JSAC Cafe. Enjoy dinner while exploring the Undergraduate Colleges and Student Success Tents, in the Grove.
Check out a variety of Academic and Social Activities available to you and make a plan to get involved.

Join the President and First Lady for dessert under the Maxwell Theatre porch (portico).
