The Study Abroad Scholarship

The Study Abroad Scholarship provides financial support to students participating in 麻豆官网首页入口 faculty-led study abroad programs. This is a need-based scholarship, and due to limited funds, only 10 recipients will be selected. The Study Abroad Scholarship is not part of federal or state financial aid programs. It is not a cash award. Funds are applied directly toward approved study abroad program costs. If a student withdraws from the program for any reason, the scholarship is forfeited and may not be transferred, deferred, or redeemed for cash.

Eligibility

To be considered, students must:

  • Have completed an application for a faculty-led study abroad program for spring or summer of 2026.
  • Have paid the non-refundable $200 deposit.
  • Submit a completed scholarship application and two AU academic recommendation letters by the deadline.

Application Requirements

A completed application includes:

    1. The Study Abroad Scholarship
    2. Two AU academic recommendation letters submitted with the application

Completed application and recommendation forms must be emailed to the Study Abroad Office at studyabroad@augusta.edu.

Selection Process

The Institutional Study Abroad Committee (ISAC) will evaluate applications using the scholarship evaluation rubric. Awards are based on financial need, as well as the strength of the application and recommendations.

Terms & Conditions

By applying for the Study Abroad Scholarship, students agree to the following:

  • The scholarship is not a cash award and will be applied directly to approved study abroad program costs.
  • The scholarship is non-transferable and non-deferrable.
  • If a student withdraws from the program for any reason, the scholarship will be forfeited.
  • Only completed applications submitted by the deadline with two academic recommendation letters will be considered.
  • Late, incomplete, or ineligible applications will not be reviewed.
  • Scholarship recipients must remain enrolled in their approved study abroad program and in good academic standing at 麻豆官网首页入口.
  • The number and amount of scholarships awarded may vary depending on available funding.
