AT AUGUSTA UNIVERSITY ADRENAL CENTER, OUR GOALS INCLUDE:
To provide same day, multidisciplinary (Endocrinologist, Surgeon) evaluation of patients
with adrenal disorders. Patients have the opportunity to discuss their condition with
one of several endocrinologists and discuss surgical treatment (if needed) with surgeons
having expertise in laparoscopic adrenal surgery.
To provide timely laboratory and radiology evaluation, including CT scan and Adrenal
Vein Sampling in order to efficiently characterize the patient's disease and provide
timely, appropriate care.
To provide safe surgical care by surgeons having expertise in laparoscopic adrenal
surgery to patients who need one or both adrenal glands to be removed.
To perform ongoing investigations to better understand the causes of adrenal disorders
in order to develop superior and safer tools for diagnosing and treating adrenal diseases.
