It鈥檚 the most wonderful time of the year if you鈥檙e a medical student! Parents, faculty and staff came together to celebrate the 246 students in the class of 2025, as they prepare to officially start their careers as doctors. After cheesing for a class picture, students making their way down to the field eager to find out what program they鈥檙e matched with.
Match Day
With a new theme each year, the eagerly awaited Match Day celebration is one of the
most memorable and fun events of medical school.
On the same day, medical students across the country receive their envelopes with
information about where they matched for residency.
We are happy to be there to celebrate alongside you as you embark, dressed to the nines in costumes reflecting the theme of the year, onto the next stage of your medical career.

Friday was Match Day at MCG. A day filled with celebrations as medical students learn where they鈥檒l complete their residencies. Gabriela Duchesney has been dreaming of this day since she was eight years old. 鈥淚 am so, so happy. I feel so blessed. I feel like this is a day that I have literally prayed for and cried for for years, don鈥檛 know since i was in high school, honestly, and it just feels like such a blessing,鈥� said Duchesney. She鈥檚 one of 246 MCG graduates taking the next step in their careers as healthcare professionals.
MCG soon-to-be graduates found out their future on 鈥淢atch Day鈥� as they continue their path to become future doctors.
