ACGME Approved Residencies & Fellowships

The Department of Psychiatry and Health Behavior is proud to offer five fully accredited ACGME-approved training programs.

General Psychiatry -

This four-year categorical program comprises 28 house officers, and will be selecting seven new PGY-1 residents in the upcoming year. Dr. Richard Camino serves as the training director for this program, and Dr. David Williams is the assistant director.  A rich diversity of training sites including a newly added state-of the鈥揳rt addictions treatment facility and a faculty numbering approximately 50 in size makes this a rich and diverse experience.

Child and Adolescent Psychiatry -

This fellowship is directed by Dr. Dale Peeples.  Recently expanded to a total of six fellowship slots, MCG at 麻豆官网首页入口 has six child psychiatrists on faculty in the section, all of whom are dedicated to our missions of clinical care, education, and research.

Addiction Medicine -

The Addiction Medicine Fellowship is a one-year fellowship offering robust clinical and research training in the evaluation and treatment of addictive diseases. Our program provides integrated, community-based training across the treatment continuum from withdrawal management, residential, intensive outpatient and outpatient settings. Treatment modalities include medication assisted treatment, motivational interviewing and 12-step recovery. Fellows work as a part of a clinical team including psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses and other mental health professionals.
