Division of Pediatric Neonatology
The Division of Pediatric Neonatology is dedicated to exceptional evidence-based patient care, teaching the next generation of neonatal physicians and scientists, and the holistic advancement of neonatal scholarship and outcomes.
The Division of Pediatric Neonatology supports a 45-bed Level IV NICU located within the Children鈥檚 Hospital of Georgia (CHOG). The NICU serves as one of Georgia鈥檚 Perinatal Regional Referral Centers, supported by a neonatal transport team and active clinical programs in Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Cardiothoracic Surgery, and Pediatric Surgery. The NICU operates one of two neonatal ECMO centers in Georgia and has been recognized as a Center of Excellence in ECMO since 2006.
The Department鈥檚 Pediatric Residency Program and Division鈥檚 Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Fellowship Program educate the next generation of pediatric health care providers in all aspects of newborn care. The Division also strives to advance neonatal medical care with active research and quality improvement work in neonatal nutrition, vascular biology, neonatal origins of cardiometabolic disease, neonatal ethics, and perinatal brain injury. Members of the Division serve on numerous State and National Committees including leadership positions.

Since 1984, The Ronald McDonald House of 麻豆官网首页入口 has been keeping families close and patients near the specialized care they need. With a 23-bedroom house, which is located steps away from the Children鈥檚 Hospital of Georgia, they are able to serve over 1,000 families a year. We are incredibly thankful for the support they provide for our patients and their families.
