STORM - Operator
               
                  
                     
                     STORM - Operator is a comprehensive sixteen-hour tactical medicine course for non-medical
                              tactical team members. The course provides a student with the skills to successfully
                              conduct self-aid/buddy-aid to a wounded operator and provide initial stabilization
                              of civilian casualties in the absence of credentialed medical providers. 
                     
                     Training includes lifesaving interventions, remote casualty assessment and extraction,
                           medical planning considerations, and force health sustainment measures.
                     
                     Upon completion of the course, students will be competent to treat life-threatening
                           injuries they or other team members sustain during a tactical event, rapidly extract
                           casualties from a high threat environment, and implement medical measures to enhance
                           the likelihood of mission success for high risk operations.  Students that successful
                           complete the course will receive a STORM Operator certificate.
                     
                     Prerequisites: 
                     
                     
                        
                        - High school or General Education Development diploma 
 
                        
                        - Valid state driver license
