Radiation Therapy Externship

Length: 4 weeks
Course Description: The student will participate in tumor conferences at the various hospitals and also attend the radiation therapy cancer clinics in order to gain experience in the workup and general management of the cancer patient in the areas of curative therapy, palliation, and supportive care. The student will be afforded an opportunity to see a large variety of tumors treated with various modalities of radiation therapy.
Radiation Therapy Off-Campus Externship

This course requires application using VSLO or other arrangements made by the student. Off-Campus Elective-Form and supporting documents required.
Course Description: This elective is designed for the student who is considering pursuit of a radiation oncology residency and who would like to obtain additional and varied experiences in the field.
