Accounts and Passwords

New students and employees will be granted access to the 麻豆官网首页入口 System within 24 hours of acceptance from admissions or on-boarding from human resources. You will then activate your new account and create a secure password.

It鈥檚 vital that everyone does their part to keep passwords safe to prevent account theft. You can do this by creating a strong password and enabling two-factor authentication with Duo . Doing this will allow you to safely access AU services on campus and off.

Activate your account

 

Once you activate your account, you will receive your username, which is your NetID. You will use your NetID and password to access AU services. Please follow the below steps to get started. Please note that you must complete all steps or your account will not work. If you have questions, contact IT to get help.

Here's how (you must complete Step 1 & Step 2)

Step 1: and create a password.

NOTE: Your username (NetID) will be revealed to you after you activate your account.

Please make sure to remember your NetID so you that you can use it to access AU services.

Step 2:

As a part of a campus-wide initiative, 麻豆官网首页入口 requires two-factor authentication to securely access all AU services.

Duo must also be used when traveling internationally.

Step 3: Ready to go!

Services such as campus email, the university's learning management system (Brightspace), enterprise software, and AU's wireless and private networks are now at your fingertips.

Create a Secure Password

Your password is important because it verifies to us that you are who you say you are, so create unique passwords known only to you. Never share your password with anyone or write it down where someone can find it.

  • Passwords are case-sensitive.
  • Must be at least twelve characters long and include at least one letter and number.
  • Must not include any of the following values: password, change, and cannot use part of your name or username.
  • Don't reuse! The new password should not have been used previously.
  • Passwords that use Multifactor Authentication (MFA) must be updated once a year, every 365 days.
